I will be hosting an intensive practical workshop dedicated to my authorial carbon monotype technique, with a focus on form, anatomy, and texture. Using the image of the ancient hunter as a starting point, we will explore how form emerges through imprint, trace, and silhouette.
Together, we will move through the entire process — from understanding the image and preparing textures to assembling a finished composition. Practical work will be combined with a slower, attentive approach to material, where trust in the process and acceptance of unpredictability play a central role. Each participant will leave with one completed work.
I’m deeply grateful to Studio14 and Tatiana Mochryakova for their hospitality and for creating the space where this long-format workshop can take place. I warmly invite you to join me for a full day of focused practice and immersion in the method.

In this practical workshop, I will invite participants to work with balance, attention, and visual texture through the image of stone and the principle of stone balancing. Together, we will explore stability, fragility, and the idea of a point of support — both as an artistic structure and an inner state.
The session will focus on slow form-building through imprints and traces, allowing space for silence, concentration, and sensitivity to material. This workshop is suitable both for those encountering the method for the first time and for participants wishing to deepen their practice. Each participant will complete one finished work.
I would like to warmly thank Studio14 and Tatiana Mochryakova for their hospitality and support, and I invite you to join me for this focused and intimate working session.

A week of residency at the MUHU PRINT was a short but very intensive workshops time. A week of new meetings, absolutely new ideas, and great exchange of experience among wonderful professionals in an unforgettable rural environment on the small Estonian island. The biggest thanks for the invitations to Estonian Printmakers Association!

Many thanks to Martin and Lillian Bristol for their hospitality and a great evening, Tatyana Mokhryakova for the impeccable curatorship, Kyle Lang and Evgenia Mokhryakova for their support and help with the installation, and also to Marina Kraan for a wonderful photo report. It was one of the most beautiful show openings I had! Biggest thanks to everyone who was there!

Tartu, Estonia
A month of residency at the TYPA museum has become a long-awaited time for me to experiment and refine many previously touched, but never fully disclosed topics. A month of wonderful acquaintances, exchange of ideas, and a time for new topics.
This time I managed to experiment on several points at once. First, the ability to insert color into my established monochrome style. Also, in the vicinity of TYPA, I found many unusual textures, which became the basis for a completely new image of shrimp and other scaly insects in my works. I transferred my graphic images to a ceramic surface also. I shared some practices in my technique at a workshop for the museum, and created an art book from fragments of my carbon monotype works.
I am very happy to get new friends - unique artists, and the beginnings of new joint projects. The only thing to regret is that it was too short. I wish I could stay longer than one month. Thank you all TYPA museum workers and volunteers for amazing time!
